One great asset amongst many others possessed by the people from the sub-continent of India –India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal etc. – is family unity and communal cohesiveness. So far, few Indian families, if any have experienced the problems faced by the overwhelming majority of Senior Citizens in Britain.

Those from the sub-continent of India can take a lead in alleviating the problems of senior citizens in Britain by BEFRIENDING a senior citizen from the Host Community. Befriending of such a person would encompass regular visiting, doing the shopping and of course taking them out and about. It is hoped that this lead given by our community would encourage may the families throughout the length and breadth of Britain to do the same and thus the problems faced by senior citizens in Britain should hopefully by significantly diminished.
